Cotswold Surgical Partners can provide private care for the below services. For more information click the link.

A formal consultation is required before any surgical procedure or treatment can be organised. We can organise a consultation with a Consultant Dermatologist or Consultant Plastic Surgeon for a confidential and non-obligatory fee of £250.00, get in touch today and we’ll arrange this for you. We strongly recommend you bring a supportive friend or relative along to your appointment to help you think about all the information and discuss your surgical options. If possible, leave the kids with a friend or family member allowing you to ask any questions you have and ensure you can be as open and detailed as you wish.

At the consultation, the Consultant will collect a thorough history of your medical health and background, including past health, medications, and operations. They will then ask you questions to get a clear understanding of what you are hoping to achieve and your expectations from any treatment. The Dermatologist will also undertake a detailed physical examination to assess your clinical situation and suitability for treatment. If you have a list of current medication, or previous letters/reports from past medical visits, please bring these along with you.

Your Consultant will then explain your options for any treatment or procedure and the process involved. You will be taken through a detailed explanation of the benefits as well as possible complications and risks of the surgery. While this is not meant to scare or alarm you, it is essential and part of ensuring you have all of the information required to make an informed decision.

At your initial appointment with your Consultant you will typically:

  • Spend quality time with your Dermatologist
  • Have your photos taken if clinically required
  • Have a physical examination by the Dermatologist
  • Find out more about your recommended surgical or treatment options
  • Receive detailed information about your treatment and/or surgery
  • Go through the possible complications and any risks
  • Consider sizing options (for some procedures)
  • Find out about the likely costs of any required procedure/s and available dates
  • Ask any other questions you may have
  • Please allow up to 30 minutes for your initial appointment

It is very important to establish a strong relationship with your surgeon prior to any surgery to ensure that you are happy to proceed.

Following your consultation, you will receive in the post:

  1. Consultation letter summarising what was discussed, the procedure required and any relevant information
  2. Detailed quotation of the private pricing schedule of costs with explanations of your bespoke care plan

Follow up consultations depend on your skin condition. Not all skin conditions require a follow-up and often a one-off consultation is all that is required.

We will only ask you to come in for a follow-up consultation if the doctor feels it to be a necessary aspect of your treatment plan, and where expected this will be included in the cost of your quotation.

The cost of any follow-up consultation with your Consultant is £180.00.

Our Private Care Co-Ordinator Jane will be your guide and support throughout your care, and liaise with your Consultant for all appointments. Please get in touch today to discuss your care, private pricing and make an appointment.

If clinically recommended, or required, certain procedures can only proceed with the agreement to fund these vital diagnostic tests. Detailed explanations will be provided about why these tests are required, and how they will form an important part of your on-going care during the consultation and within the quotation. Histopathology tests, for example, are the only way to be sure the lesion does not have abnormal cells, or signs of cancer. These samples will be analysed under a special microscope in a laboratory. This is why we consider it best practise to have this done with every mole removal or other suspicious lesion removed. Please allow at least 10 working days for receipt.

We cannot guarantee any treatment, procedure, private pricing or care plan until you have been assessed thoroughly by the Consultant during a consultation. If a procedure, or surgery, is recommended this will not take place on the same day. You will receive a detailed quotation and provided time to consider all options and make an informed decision. Our Private Care Co-Ordinator Jane will continue to liaise with you during this period and help make an appointment/arrangements once a decision has been made.

All prices are subject to consultation. Where indicative prices are displayed below, these are to be considered as a guide only. Any price quoted during a consultation is valid for 60 days only. Full payment for any procedure or operation is required in advance of the planned procedure/treatment date.

To confirm any consultation we require a £50.00 non-refundable deposit. The remaining fee of £200.00 is to be taken upon arrival for your appointment.

Procedures, treatments & diagnostic tests:

Full payment is required to confirm your quotation prior to your procedure/operation date. This is taken prior to your surgery/treatment date and can be made over the telephone, via bank transfer or in person at our practice.

We accept cash and all major credit/debit cards including American Express (with the exception of Diner’s Club). Unfortunately we are unable to accept cheques.

We welcome both private paying and insurance funded patients. However, insurance approval is subject to prior authorisation with your insurer. Please speak to our team today for more information on how we can assist you in obtaining our services through your insurer.

We are happy to re-arrange appointments and, if requested, cancel bookings.
